![]() In order to find out which nature would be best suited for your Pokémon's strengths, I suggest you look up your Pokémon's Base Stats on Bulbapedia. Below you can find a list of natures, along with what statistic they raise and lower. A Timid nature lowers Attack and raises Speed, and a Modest nature lowers Attack and raises Special Attack. A Timid or Modest nature would be perfect for Gengar. To breed a solid Gengar, you would probably want to lower Attack since Gengar is a beast when it comes to being a Special Attack based attacker. Therefore you would want to choose a nature which increases one of those stats, while lowering a stat that isn't as important. But if you have a rough idea of what your Pokémon's strengths are, the decrease can be manipulated to fall on a stat which is not particularly useful, thus mitigating its effect.įor example, Gengar has high Speed and Special Attack statistics. Natures are double-edged swords any nature that is not neutral will decrease one stat by ten percent, while increasing another stat by ten percent. It is important to note that there is no nature which will modify HP it cannot be increased or decreased by any Nature Value. ![]() The following natures do not modify any statistic: There are exceptions to this in the form of Neutral Natures, which do not modify any stat. Nature Values, or natures, adjust your Pokémon's stats by ten percent for two individual statistics. If you want to know more about berries and flavors I suggest you take a look at Serebii's nature guide for that information.Įvery Pokémon in Generation IV has a Nature Value which can be found on its Summary screen. It also determines what flavor of Pokéblock and berry your Pokémon enjoy, but we will not be covering that in this article as it is not particularly pertinent to breeding. A Pokémon's nature determines which of its stats get a slight boost, and which take a slight decrease. To the untrained eye, these seem like mere personality traits, but to us, the Pokémon breeders, they mean so much more. Some are sassy, others are quite serious, and some are just plain rash. Credit to Ahelex.Pokémon have distinct personalities. I don't actually know what happens when a pokemon of a neutral nature consumes one of these berries.Įdit: Neutral natures pokemon will get healed. The rest of the columns are just for quick reference. If you give your pokemon the right berry based on its boosted stat, you don't have to deal with getting confused. I'll make my own chart that's easy to read and useful.Įvery flavor represents a stat that the pokemon has a bonus in because of its nature. I have to keep referring back to the flavor charts in Bulbapedia and that's annoying so I'm just going to post here all the natures that go with each of those berries. There are certain berries that heal your pokemon's HP but will make it confused if it doesn't like the flavor. It annoys me so much having to look this up every time. ![]() Submission Filter Image Only Image Only No Image No Image Media Only Media Only No Media No Media Discussion Only Discussion Only No Discussion No Discussion Info Only Info Only No Info No Info Art Only Art Only No Art No Art Crafts Only Crafts Only No Crafts No Crafts Memes Only Memes Only No Memes No Memes Venting Venting No Venting No Venting No Art & No Venting No Art & No Venting No Memes & No Venting No Memes & No Venting Clear Filter Clear Filter Event Calendar Monday at 9:00 UTC to Wednesday at 9:00 UTC only.Friday at 17:00 UTC to Monday at 9:00 UTC.Thank you to /u/ZanorinSeregris for our banner, /u/infinitycore for our Snoolax logo, and to the Smogon Sword/Shield Sprite Project for the Pokemon sprites used on this subreddit!
